The Group's principal activities are to grow and harvest timber, manufacture and sell forest products, real estate development and construction and other real estate related activities. The Group manages 7.2 million acres of company owned and 0.8 million acres of leased commercial forestland in North America. The wood products produced and marketed include softwood, engineered and hardwood lumber, plywood, veneer, oriented strand board, composite and other panels and treated products. The Group manufactures and markets chemical wood pulp, coated and uncoated fine papers. The Group manufactures linerboard and corrugating medium and kraft paper. Real estate and related assets division develops single family housing and residential lots for sale. On 30-Jun-2002, it acquired Willamette Industries. Wood Products accounted for 41% of 2002 revenues; Containerboard and Packing, 23%; Pulp and Paper, 20%; Real Estate, 9%; Timberlands, 6% and Other, 1%.
