The Group operates through two divisions; the Pharmaceutical and the Consumer Health. Consumer Health Division includes Generics/OTC sells copies of prescription medicines no longer under patent protection; medical nutrition and self-medication; Ciba Vision: manufactures disposable and extended wear contact lenses; animal health: vaccines, pest control chemicals and veterinary pharmaceuticals. Pharmaceuticals accounted for 65% of 2002 revenues; generics, 8%; otc, 7%; infant & baby, 6%; Ciba Vision, 5%; animal health, 3%; medical nutrition, 3% and other consumer health, 3%.
