The major products are bananas, pineapples, melons, grapes, plums, nectarines, peaches, apricots, cherries, apples, pears and citrus .The products of the Group are sold in the United States, Europe, Latin America and Pacific rim under the brand name Del Monte. The products of the Group are distributed through retail chains, wholesalers, independent distributors and marketing companies in more than 50 countries around the world. The Group acquired the remaining 50% interest in Agricola Villa Alegre Limitada in 2001. Fresh fruits and vegetables accounted for 48% of 2001 revenues; bananas, 46% and other non-produce, 6%.
