Dominion. The Group's principal activities are to generate, transmit, distribute and sell gas and electric energy. The Group's activities are carried out through three segments: Energy Services, Transmission and Distribution Services and Exploration and Production Services. Energy services segment consists of generating units and power purchase agreements. Transmission and distribution services segment manages the Group's electric and gas distribution systems, as well as customer service and electric transmission functions. Exploration and production services segment manages the Group's onshore and offshore gas and oil exploration, development and production operations. In 2002 the Group acquired Mirant State Line Ventures, Inc. and Cove Point LNG Limited Partnership. Energy services accounted for 58% of 2002 revenues; Transmission and Distribution services, 25% and Exploration and Production, 17%.
