Boeing Company (The). The Group's principal activities are to develop commercial airplane, military aircraft and missile system and also provide commercial finance services. The Group operates in 4 segments, Commercial Airplanes, Military Aircraft and Missile Systems, Space and Communications and Boeing Capital Corporation (BCC). Commercial airplane produces and markets commercial jet aircraft. The Military aircraft and missile system develops and modifies military aircraft. The Space Communications develops and supports missile defense systems, satellites, launching vehicles and rocket engines. The BCC finances commercial and private aircraft and commercial equipment. The Group also provides two way data communication service for global travelers. On 11-Feb-2003, the Group acquired Conquest Inc. Commercial airplanes accounted for 52% of 2002 revenues; Military aircraft and missile systems, 25%; Space and communication, 20%; Commerical financing, 2% and Other, 1%.
