BP PLC(BP) Formerly known as BP Amoco PLC. The Group's principal activities comprise of exploration and production, gas, power and renewables, refining and marketing, and chemicals. Exploration and production activities include oil and natural gas exploration and field development and production, pipeline transportation and natural gas processing. Gas, power and renewables include marketing and trading of natural gas, liquefied natural gas, natural gas liquids and the generation of solar power. Refining and marketing activities include the supply and trading of oil. Chemicals' activities include the manufacture and marketing of petrochemicals. The Group has major operations in Europe, North and South America, Australasia and Africa. Refining and marketing accounted for 69% of 2002 revenues; gas, power and renewables, 20%; chemicals, 7%; and exploration and production, 4%.
